Diane i made the light ray is too solid because i was tring to reproduce dust and smoke on the air and u there's a very dark ambient in opposition with an intense light from outside.
Yeah i was playing warcraft 3 again when i worked on this... got some influences

It's not a bad little piece...I think you could have made better use of your two light sources if the rest of the painting were darker...the knight harshly under lit by his glowing blade and only rim lit with the warmer, external light..with everythingelse falling off to shadow..it would have been a bit more dramatic and eerie I think.

Otherwise pretty cool.
